Eminem and Snoop Dogg impressed fans on Friday with their new collaboration "From the D 2 the LBC," which comes with a partially animated video. The rappers put on a show for their hometowns on the track, spitting at breakneck speed on their respective verses. The hard-hitting song was released alongside a video directed by James Larese, in which the two discuss their interest in the NFT space. The fast-paced clip, which cuts between clips of the artist performing and inhabiting animated Bored Ape-like avatars, fits perfectly with the rapidfire delivery. Em tweeted about the song, saying, "Took too long to reunite with @snoopdogg - you know we had to make a movie!
The tune arrives only a few months after Eminem and Snoop Dogg performed at the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show. Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and 50 Cent were among others that joined them. It also comes a little over a week after Em released his and CeeLo Green's contribution to the soundtrack of the Elvis movie, "The King and I."
