DDG CHARGED WITH GUN POSSESSION AND RECKLESS DRIVING AFTER ARREST IN JUNE

DDG was charged with three charges following his detention in June. The "Moonwalking In Calabasas" rapper is facing one charge of having a loaded firearm, one charge of having a hidden weapon, and one count of careless driving, according to TMZ.

DDG was detained on June 6 after Los Angeles police apparently observed him driving recklessly in his Lamborghini.

Officers discovered a 9mm handgun in DDG's possession after pulling him over during a routine traffic stop. He was handcuffed and sent to Van Nyus Jail, but he immediately secured $35,000 bail and was freed.
The L.A. County District Attorney declined to press charges, but the Prosecutor appears to have chose to press the criminal charges anyways. If guilty, each of the firearm counts could result in a year in prison, as well as a 90-day maximum term for reckless driving.

The hip-hop Superstar has a love relationship with R&B singer Halle Bailey. During a recent Off the Record podcast with DJ Akademiks, the Michigan native spoke out about his developing relationship with Halle and declared his love for her.

“I honestly get inspired by my girl. She honestly motivated me to be better and work harder and get to certain levels,” he said. “I look up to her in a sense ’cause it’s, like, I never been around nobody that really… ’cause I feel like I’m always the motivator, I’m the inspirer. I’m the muthafucka inspiring muthafuckas to do better…It’s like I’m in a different mode now where I’m getting inspired by somebody. I feel like it’s healthy in that way for me ’cause it’s like a weight off my shoulders.”
