The authorities informed the judge that Tory Lanez's alleged attack on August Alsina was sufficient reason to arrest him. They said that the alleged attack breached the terms of his case. Furthermore, prosecutors stated that monetary bail was insufficient to keep Tory out of trouble.
Tory's attorney, Shawn Holley, rebutted these allegations. According to Holley, no charges were brought against Tory Lanez. Simultaneously, he dismissed Alsina's injuries as gossip.
August Alsina, as you may recall, posted images of himself beaten up after Tory and his staff allegedly roughed him up for rejecting a handshake.
Since then, Tory has denied attacking August Alsina. TMZ interviewed the famous rapper after the hearing, and he stated that he is a Black guy "fighting the world." He also referred to the claims as "cap."
Tory Lanez is being charged with assault and possession of a weapon in connection with Megan Thee Stallion's injuries. Previously, the rapper pled not guilty to the accusations leveled against him.
He's been in further difficulty with the police after his arrest, previously having his bond raised due to public statements he made regarding the case. He disclosed earlier this month that if he is found guilty of shooting Megan, he faces 24 years in jail.
