Gucci Mane Pays Tribute In New "Letter To Takeoff" Video

Takeoff died tragically on November 1 after being shot in Houston, Texas. Fans loved ones, and the hip-hop world has continued to pay respect to the late artist since then.

Gucci Mane, who released his fresh new "Letter To Takeoff" tune today, is the latest recent musician to speak out about the tragic loss (Nov. 15). Joe Yung Spike directed the accompanying video, which depicts the Atlanta native processing his sorrow as he travels through a graveyard delivering his pain-filled bars:

“Just left another funeral, I shed a tear, I’m still in disbelief, I can’t believe it’s real/ I think about the memories, it give me chills, I’m wonderin’ why they left the fake and took the real, like, how the f**k we gon’ lose Takeoff? Damn, he didn’t deserve it/ We don’t supposed to question God, but, damn, Takeoff was perfect/ I go from sad to mad, I’ve been through every stagе of grief, we need some time to heal, but my job got no work relief” the f**k we gon’ lose Takeoff? Damn, he didn’t deserve it/ We don’t supposed to question God, but, damn, Takeoff was perfеct/ I go from sad to mad, I’ve been through every stagе of grief, we need some time to heal, but my job got no work relief”

In recent news, Mane recruited rap artist Baby Racks to his 1017 record label earlier this month, only to fire him 24 hours later after Racks tweeted something critical of Takeoff's death. "Congratulations to Babyracks1017, [the] first artist to get signed and dropped in a  day." Mane wrote, "That man is not signed to 1017."
