Woman That Witnessed Pop Smoke's Murder Recalls The Rapper's Last Words - WhatsOnRap

Woman who was with Pop Smoke during his murder speaks out for the first time, describes what happened

The woman who actually saw the shooting explained Pop Smoke's tragic death. Amelia Rose, who was alongside the Brooklyn rapper when he was fatally shot during a robbery attempt in February 2020, shared a terrifying acct of his murder on WE tv's Hip Hop Homicides, which aired earlier this month.

Rose informed Van Lathan, the show's host, that she recalled Pop going upstairs to use the restroom in the Hollywood Hills home he was renting at the time. She was terrified moments later when attackers stormed into the house and brandished a pistol in her face.

“Pop said he was going upstairs. I’m sitting on the bed and I’m starting to take off my clothes, and he said: ‘OK, I’ll come back,'” she recalled. “He was going to the restroom and so these were his last words.”

“This moment, it was like a couple seconds and I hear the noise,” Rose continued. “The guy was in the mask and his gun was like… ‘Look at me,’ you know? His eyes made me so scared. They run to the restroom. Pop screamed, ‘What?!'”

Rose went on to emotionally explain how the armed attackers took Pop Smoke out of the toilet, and after a little disturbance, she heard the deadly gunshot ring out. Rose also confessed in the program that she has difficulties sleeping and is still surprised that she survived the house invasion that killed the 20-year-old rapper.

Amelia Rose previously told police that a group of masked men "stormed through the curtains of a second-story balcony," with one of the men pressing a black semiautomatic firearm to her forehead and shouting, "Shut the fuck up."

During a court hearing in 2021, LAPD Detective Christian Carrasco testified, "She heard a struggle coming from the shower area and heard [Pop Smoke] screaming." "[Pop Smoke] ran out of the bathroom, [heard] a loud pop, and [saw] [Pop] fall to the ground." Two more people proceeded to kick him."

"[Pop Smoke] gets up and runs downstairs," Carrasco added. Two additional pops are heard. She chases after [Pop Smoke], sees him on the ground, and yells for Michael [Durodola, Pop Smoke's friend] to dial 911."
