Jack Harlow recently had the opportunity to meet Dua Lipa at Variety's annual Hitmakers brunch.
Furthermore, they are both signed to Atlantic Records, so some may be surprised that it has taken this long. Of course, readers will recall the Kentucky rapper's song "Dua Lipa," and we can all speculate as to what it's about.
"Dua Lipa / I'm tryna do more with her than do a feature," Harlow raps on the song. Whatever you think of his relationship advances, they created quite a stir online. Many probably didn't realize they were label mates, which makes the shoutout even stranger.
The "First Class" rapper took his shot with Dua for his album, Come Home, The Kids Miss You, back in May. Nonetheless, the two conversed and posed for photos together. We obviously don't know the specifics of the conversations or what they talked about. They appeared to enjoy their time together and were upbeat for the cameras.
Afterwards in the event, the 24-year-old MC dedicated Variety's label of the year award to Atlantic. “I do see a lot of resentment sometimes between artists and their labels,” Jack expressed. “Me personally, I’ve had disagreements and frustrations, things that I think are natural to any partnership. But one thing I cannot dispute is that I was given a real chance to develop as an artist.”
