Boosie Badazz has said clearly and unambiguously that he feels snitches have no position in Hip Hop. The Baton Rouge native contacted Funk Flex on Instagram in an attempt to persuade the Hot 97 DJ to lift his ban on 6ix9ine's music.
"STICK TO IT FLEX WE NEED THIS [BAN] ALL THEM RATS," Boosie remarked on SayCheeseTV's Instagram post on Monday (January 16).
Flex stated he'll be spinning 6ix9ine's music owing to the "trend" of current rappers complying with police, stating the controversial Brooklyn native no longer deserves to be treated as an outsider.
“WHAT EVERYONES OPINION? FOR ME… IM NO LONGER NOT ‘NOT’ PLAYING 6IX 9INE MUSIC ANYMORE!” he wrote on Instagram earlier this week. “OBVIOUSLY ACCORDING TO REPORTS… THE TREND AMONGST ALOT OF CURRENT RAPPERS (SINCE AND BEFORE 6IX 9INE) CONSIST OF COOPERATING AND TESTIFYING!”
He added: “MAN WHO WE KIDDING… ITS SEEMS THAT THESE NEW RAPPERS AINT DOING 10-20 YEARS WITH / FOR NOBODY! (THEY NOT DOING 5 YEARS).”
6ix9ine is well-known for collaborating with police in order to imprison multiple members of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods and earn a reduced sentence for himself in 2020.
Funk Flex updated his previous Instagram post to say that Jim Jones had also contacted him regarding removing his ban on 6ix9ine and the apparent pattern of "snitching" in the rap game.
“SPOKE TO @JIMJONESCAPO HE EXPRESSED THAT FOR HIM THERE WILL NEVER BE ANY TOLERANCE FOR TESTIFYING AND COOPERATING! IN TODAYS ERA,” Flex wrote in his caption. “JONES AND I MAY DISAGREE ON THE WHY OR WHY NOT THE MUSIC SHOULD PLAY OF PEOPLE WHO COOPERATE BUT WE BOTH AGREE THAT TIMES MIGHT OF CHANGED AND INTEGRITY IS FULLY LOST!”
