Lil Pump has revealed that his sophomore album, Lil Pump 2, will be released later this month as nothing more than a follow-up to his debut album of the same name.
Friday (March 10), the rap star posted on Instagram the project's tracklisting and cover art, as well as the fact that it will be available on streaming services the following Friday (March 17).
The album's vibrant cover image features Lil Pump's prominent tattoos and tousled hair, which spells out "LP2."
NBA Youngboy, Smokepurpp, Ty Dolla $ign, and others will make cameos on the new 16-track CD. "LIL PUMP 2 ABLUM MARCH 17th," he wrote in the description of the image. "I love you all, ESSKEETIT."
The first part, Lil Pump, was released in 2017 and featured his breakout single, "Gucci Gang," which helped propel the rapper to superstardom. Lil Pump 2 was supposed to be released in January, but after the rapper lost the album's hard drive last year while visiting the lake, he had to change his plans.
Considering the success of his debut album, that debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 45,000 album-equivalent unit sales in its first week and was subsequently certified gold by the RIAA. His most recent release, No Name, released in December 2021 with producer Ronny J, did not do as well, failing to rank on the Billboard 200.
