Hip hop star Lil Pump, whose real name is Gazzy Garcia, is currently dealing with some trouble from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The tax collection company has hit the "Gucci Gang" rapper with two liens over the past few months, demanding payment for almost two million dollars in back taxes.
According to Radar Online, the 22-year-old rapper was notified by the IRS on March 1 about the first lien, which was followed up by another just a couple of weeks later. The taxes being collected date back to the pandemic.
For the year 2021, the IRS claims that Lil Pump owes $141,340.56 in unpaid taxes. Additionally, for the previous year 2020, the rapper reportedly owes $129,801.88.
This isn't the first time the government has been after Lil Pump for unpaid taxes. In 2019, he was said to owe $90,000, and in the year before that, an enormous $1,676,738.65. Despite owing a total of $2,037,881.09 over the past four years (excluding 2022), the rapper has only paid $90,000.
Despite these financial struggles, Lil Pump is still performing live shows. Just a week ago, he wowed the crowd at Penn State with a jam-packed performance. The artist has not yet released an official statement regarding his tax issues.
With an estimated net worth of $12,000,000, Lil Pump is still one of the biggest names in hip-hop today. It's clear that his music and his live shows are still in high demand, even as he deals with this latest round of financial troubles.
