Tupac Shakur, the late rapper, will be recognized with a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame, according to a statement made by the group on Wednesday. Tupac's sister, Sekyiwa "Set" Shakur, will accept the honor on June 7, during a ceremony hosted by radio personality Big Boy. Tupac's star will be put in the "Recording" category, confirming his standing as a renowned artist whose legacy lives on long after his death.

Tupac Shakur's varied abilities were lauded by Ana Martinez, the producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, who described him as a rapper, actor, activist, poet, and revolutionary. 

She stressed his long-lasting influence on popular culture, claiming that he is still an important cultural figure years after his untimely death. Given Tupac's prominence as a renowned Los Angeles musician, Martinez anticipates Tupac's star to become one of the most visited and cherished locations along the Walk of Fame.
Tupac Shakur's contributions to music and effect on the hip-hop genre are indisputable. Despite his tragic death in 1996 at the age of 25, his music continues to enchant listeners across the world. Tupac's albums "All Eyez on Me" and "Greatest Hits" have sold over 75 million units worldwide.

In addition to his musical achievements, Tupac found success in the film industry, earning critical acclaim for his performances in movies such as "Juice," "Poetic Justice," "Above The Rim," "Gridlock'd," and "Gang Related." His acting skills further showcased his versatility and artistic depth.

This month, Oakland, California, also paid homage to Tupac Shakur by renaming a street as "Tupac Shakur Way," further cementing his connection to the city and the lasting impact of his legacy.
