50 Cent, the legendary rapper, has received a prestigious honor in Shreveport, Louisiana, following the grand opening of his G-Unit Film & TV Studios in the city.
During a special ceremony held on Thursday (April 18), Mayor Tom Arceneaux presented 50 Cent with a ceremonial key to the city, recognizing his significant contributions to the entertainment industry.
Addressing the crowd gathered for the event, 50 Cent expressed his gratitude, stating:
It is an honor for me to stand before you here today. As someone who’s always believed in the transformative power of music, film, and television, I’m really excited to showcase the expansion of film and television through G-Unit Studios right here in Shreveport.”

Last year, 50 Cent secured a 30-year lease on the movie studio, positioning it as the headquarters for his burgeoning film and TV production company.
The revitalization of the studio is expected to generate employment opportunities, attract talent to the area, and contribute to Shreveport's overall economic growth.
