Coi Leray Disowns Her Father Benzino After R Kelly Comments: “I Really Want Nothing To Do With Him”

Coi Leray, the rising star in the rap scene, has opened up about her strained relationship with her father, Benzino, a prominent figure in both the music industry and reality TV.

While the duo appeared to be on good terms during the release of Leray's debut album, Trendsetter, their relationship took a turn for the worse in 2023. 

Leray publicly stated that Benzino harbored feelings of jealousy towards her success. Despite Benzino's denial of these claims, their communication dwindled, leading Leray to cut ties with her father, expressing her desire to distance herself from him and his endeavors.

In a recent statement shared on X, Leray made it clear that she has not interacted with her father for over a year and wants no involvement with him or his interviews. 

She emphasized that sharing biological ties does not automatically make them family, highlighting the importance of loyalty, respect, and love in defining familial relationships.

Eminem referenced Leray in his track "Doomsday Pt. 2" from the Lyrical Lemonade compilation album All Is Yellow, sparking speculation about potential tensions between Leray and Eminem. However, Leray clarified that she holds no animosity towards the Detroit rap icon, indicating that any perceived conflicts are not personal.
