In a candid revelation, 50 Cent has shared details about a dramatic behind-the-scenes dispute that almost kept him out of the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Speaking to "The Hollywood Reporter", the rapper explained how Roc Nation, Jay-Zs entertainment company, tried to block his appearance at the high-profile event.

According to 50 Cent, Roc Nation initially did not want him to be part of the show.

"They wanted to leave me out of it. They didn’t want me there."

This revelation sheds light on the backstage politics that often surround major events, even ones as high-profile as the Super Bowl.

The conflict was resolved thanks to the intervention of Eminem, who reportedly made his participation contingent on 50 Cent’s inclusion:

"Roc Nation. Yeah, they didn’t want me there. Eminem wouldn’t do it without me. That’s how I ended up on the show because he was not coming if I didn’t do it. When that happens, you go, 'Damn, so you just lost Eminem because you didn’t bring 50? Damn. All right. Bring 50 then.' But if it was up to them, they would not have me there. I’m the surprise. I’m not on the bill at all. But they couldn’t get Em to do it without me."

This dramatic turn of events highlights Eminem’s loyalty and the strong bond between the two artists.

The controversy surrounding 50 Cent’s Super Bowl appearance has been a topic of discussion for some time.

The rapper has frequently expressed his gratitude to Eminem for his support. Eminem himself spoke about their relationship, saying:

“50 is like a brother to me, 50 has proven again and again that there’s really nothing he can’t do, and nobody gets in the way of him getting it done.”

The Super Bowl Halftime Show was a monumental event, featuring a star-studded lineup that included Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Mary J. Blige.

50 Cent’s surprise appearance, hanging upside down during his performance of “In Da Club,” was one of the highlights of the show, adding an unexpected twist to the event.

Beyond music, 50 Cent and Eminem continue to collaborate professionally. The duo is working together through 50’s G-Unit Film and Television to develop a series based on Eminem’s 2002 film, "8 Mile".

This ongoing partnership underscores their strong professional and personal relationship, which has endured despite industry challenges.
