Eminem Announces 'The Death of Slim Shady: Steve Berman Edition' with Two Bonus Tracks

Eminem Releases The Death of Slim Shady Special Edition With Steve Berman Skit and Bonus Tracks

Eminem has just dropped a special edition of his album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce), bringing back a familiar face in the form of Steve Berman

This updated version, released on Wednesday (July 17), includes a new skit featuring Berman, along with two brand-new bonus tracks, rekindling the playful yet critical dynamic between the rapper and the Interscope Records vice chairman.

The collaboration between Eminem and Berman dates back to the early 2000s, with Berman first appearing in a skit on The Marshall Mathers LP and later on D-12’s Devil’s Night

Their comedic back-and-forth continued on The Eminem Show in 2002, where Berman's character met a dramatic (though fictional) end.

After a long hiatus, Berman returned in 2009 on Relapse, humorously recovering from his on-air "injuries."

'The Death of Slim Shady' Bonus Edition Released by Eminem, Featuring Steve Berman Skit:

In this latest release, the duo picks up right where they left off. Berman, never one to mince words, questions Eminem’s decision to release another album without including him.

“Aren’t you supposed to be dead?” Berman asks in the skit. “How the f--k are you gonna put out another album without me on it?” Eminem concedes, adding the skit to the album and announcing the special edition on social media.

“Ok, @steveberman.. I fixed it,” Em posted. “Get the new #TheDeathOfSlimShady digital album- STEVE BERMAN Edition! Includes BOTH bonus tracks #1 and #2 + an exclusive skit w/ Steve. Avail only on shop.eminem.com until THURS. at midnight ET!”

The bonus tracks, “Like My S--t” and “Kyrie & Luka” featuring 2 Chainz, add even more excitement to this limited-time release. Fans have until Thursday night (July 18) to grab this special edition.

The Death of Slim Shady marks Eminem’s 12th studio album, following 2020’s Music to Be Murdered By.

With this latest drop, Eminem aims to secure his 10th consecutive Billboard 200 chart-topper, potentially unseating Taylor Swift for the coveted No. 1 spot.
