The music video for "Lonely Roads" is a cinematic experience featuring MGK and Jelly Roll alongside their partners, Megan Fox and Bunnie XO.

The video depicts MGK and Jelly Roll as struggling car mechanics who each face personal dilemmas. MGK’s character is driven to rob a bank to support his pregnant wife, while Jelly Roll plays an ex-convict determined to avoid a return to crime.

The narrative unfolds with MGK successfully executing the heist and providing for his family before facing his inevitable arrest, with poignant scenes of him bonding with his newborn through prison visits.

MGK took to social media to express the effort behind "Lonely Roads," revealing the track’s intricate production process.

MGK shared:

"we worked on “Lonely Road” for 2 years, 8 different studios, 4 different countries, changed the key 4 times, and this Friday you’ll hear we finally got it right. "

This dedication is evident in the song's polished sound and the powerful emotional weight it carries.

The partnership between MGK and Jelly Roll seemed almost destined after their CMA Fest performance in June, where they performed duets and showcased their musical synergy.

The live performance included Jelly Roll's "Need a Favor" and MGK’s "My Ex’s Best Friend," and hinted at MGK’s potential future ventures into country music.

Jelly Roll has been exceptionally active this year, collaborating with a diverse range of artists including Eminem, AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys, Kane Brown, Lana Del Rey, and Limp Bizkit.

His widespread presence in the music scene highlights his versatility and growing influence across genres.

"Lonely Roads" not only highlights the musical chemistry between MGK and Jelly Roll but also underscores their ability to cross genre boundaries and captivate audiences.

The track's rise to the top of the charts is a testament to their hard work and the compelling narrative they’ve crafted both musically and visually.
