Travis Scott's Manager David Stromberg Claps Back at Killer Mike's Grammy Remarks

Killer Mike and Travis Scott’s Grammy Feud Intensifies with New Album Diss

In 2024, tensions between Killer Mike and Travis Scott have reached a boiling point, with both artists trading barbs over the recent Grammy Awards.

While fans are still buzzing about the potential revival of the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar feud, a new rift has emerged between the "Sicko Mode" star and one half of Run the Jewels, rooted in an unusual cause: the Grammy Awards.

Killer Mike’s recent album has intensified the ongoing dispute, particularly after the Grammys saw Mike win three awards in categories where Travis Scott was also nominated but did not secure any wins.

The backlash from Scott's fans was immediate, accusing Killer Mike of overshadowing their favorite rapper. The controversy simmered until Mike’s album dropped, making it clear that the tension was far from over.

The most significant shot came on the album’s final track, "STILL TALK'N THAT SH*T," where Killer Mike appears to address the Grammy controversy directly. With lines like:

Killer Mike Allegedly Disses Travis Scott Over Grammy Losses in New Album:

"You gon' respect me like a motherf*ckin' Grammy winner, Like I cooked your favorite rapper like a Granny dinner."

Mike asserts his artistic superiority. The track leaves little doubt about his feelings towards the criticism he faced after his Grammy triumph.

In response to Mike's provocations, Travis Scott’s manager, David Stromberg, took to Twitter to voice his discontent.

Stromberg didn't hold back, drawing controversial comparisons between Killer Mike and other artists who won Grammys but were later criticized for their awards. His tweets included jabs like:

"Macklemore and Cardi B tour selling out Chuck E Cheese karaoke nights near u."

Travis Scott's Manager Responds to Killer Mike's Alleged Grammy Diss:

Pointing out that these artists, much like Mike, have faced scrutiny over their Grammy wins.

The manager’s critique referenced past controversies, such as Macklemore’s win over Kendrick Lamar in 2013 and Cardi B’s Grammy over Travis Scott in 2019.

Stromberg’s comments suggest that Killer Mike's Grammy wins are viewed in a similar light—awarded to artists who, in some opinions, were less deserving than their competitors.

Travis Scott, who has been vocal about his desire to win a Grammy, has previously shared his frustrations about the awards process.

In a past interview on "The Shop", where Scott reflected on the grueling experience of attending the ceremony and losing.

Despite generally steering clear of rap beefs, Scott may now be tempted to engage with Killer Mike.

As the feud escalates, fans will be watching closely to see if Scott decides to respond, potentially reigniting a rap rivalry that could dominate the headlines in 2024.
