50 Cent Links Diddy's Legal Troubles to His Diageo Lawsuit

50 Cent Links Diddy’s Legal Troubles to Diageo Lawsuit

In a recent interview on the Earn Your Leisure podcast, 50 Cent shared his thoughts on Diddy's ongoing legal challenges, suggesting that they may have been intensified by Diddy's previous lawsuit against liquor distributor Diageo.

The discussion took place during a live recording at the 2024 Invest Fest, where 50 Cent reflected on his diverse business ventures, including his successful enterprises in the spirits industry.

50 Cent, known for his candid opinions, drew parallels between his own experiences with Beam Suntory and Diddy’s long-term partnership with Diageo, the parent company of Ciroc.

He explained that while Diddy initially profited significantly from the deal—reportedly raking in around $60 million annually—his lack of ownership ultimately led to complications.

50 Cent noted:

"It's not so cool when you start to own things. I made a lot of money with them, too. They did a deal that mirrored what Puffy's deal with Diageo was for Ciroc. So, he didn't have ownership of that at any point but he was getting a lot of money. Almost $60 million a year at one point. When you see him go to DeLeon is when you see him have some issues."

50 Cent Breaks Down Diddy's Legal Issues Linked to Diageo:

The G-Unit leader emphasized the interconnectedness of the music and liquor industries, hinting that Diddy’s legal issues might have roots in his strained relationship with Diageo.

"It gets bad, And these people have very strong relationships. Don't think that the civil case doesn't turn into a criminal case faster because he's making them uncomfortable. That's a big part of it."

Diddy, who has been in the spotlight for his lawsuit against Diageo—alleging racism—also faces a range of personal legal issues.

Although he initially filed the lawsuit in May 2023, he withdrew it earlier this year amid mounting allegations against him.

Some speculate that challenging such a major corporation may have contributed to his current predicament.

Recently, Diddy was arrested and indicted on serious charges including se* tr*fficking and racketeering.

He has pleaded not guilty but remains in custody, denied bail, as he awaits trial. If convicted, he could face life in prison, raising significant concerns about his future in the music industry.

As Diddy navigates these turbulent waters, 50 Cent's insights remind fans of the complex interplay between celebrity, business, and the law in the hip-hop world.
