Rich Homie Quan, the influential Atlanta rapper, has sadly passed away at the age of 34. 

According to a report from TMZ, Quan, whose real name was Dequantes Devontay Lamar—was found at his home in Atlanta. 

While no official cause of de*th has been confirmed by his family or the Fulton County morgue, close friends have said that the rapper may have died from an overdose on a “bad pill.” 

As of now, the family has not released any official statements regarding the circumstances surrounding his passing.

Quan’s rise to fame came in 2013 when his hit single "Type of Way" made waves on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 50. 

The track cemented his place in the rap world, following his earlier mixtapes "I Go in on Every Song" and "Still Goin In" from 2012. The latter project was re-released in 2013 as "Still Goin In: Reloaded", which propelled "Type of Way" into mainstream success. 

The song's momentum was further boosted by a remix featuring Jeezy and Meek Mill, adding more star power to his growing reputation.

In the wake of this tragic news, the hip-hop community has been quick to express its sorrow and pay respects to the fallen artist. 

Boosie Badazz, a fellow Southern rapper, took to social media to share his grief, mentioning that he had recently spoken to Quan.

Boosie highlighted Quan’s infectious smile and memorable contributions to the culture, stating, "I’ll never forget his smile or the music he gave us."
