Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s Lawyer Calls Out Piers Morgan Over False Allegations
Jay-Z and Beyoncé are not pleased with Piers Morgan following his recent broadcast, which featured unfounded allegations about the couple.
During a segment of his show, singer Jaguar Wright made headlines by labeling Jay-Z a “monster” who “starts little fires everywhere.”
She also claimed to be in touch with purported “victims” willing to testify against the hip-hop icon, drawing unsettling parallels to the ongoing lawsuits involving Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Wright’s remarks included serious accusations about both Jay-Z and Beyoncé, branding them as a “nasty little couple” engaged in unethical behavior.
“They do nasty things,” she claimed, suggesting they keep individuals against their will and even put them on planes while unconscious.
In response, Alex Spiro, the attorney representing the Carters, sharply criticized Morgan for airing these damaging claims, labeling them as falsehoods.
He insisted that Morgan either retract the allegations and issue an apology or face potential legal repercussions.
Spiro articulated his stance clearly, stating to TMZ:
“There's rumors and then there's nonsense and this is one step further right this is a pointed and formal accusation of something and I felt it needed to be responded to, So I think somebody reported it was a cease and desist—it wasn't that, it was quite bluntly an ultimatum which is: remove that false accusation that's demonstrably false or a court's going to order you to. So I think he made the wise choice and acted accordingly”

He emphasized the importance of addressing such serious allegations and pointed out that Morgan's actions not only harmed the Carters but also overshadowed genuine victims’ voices.
On Tuesday, Piers Morgan acknowledged the backlash by issuing a brief apology on his show. He admitted:
“Jaguar Wright unexpectedly made several serious allegations about Jay-Z and Beyoncé during that interview. As I said in the moment, they were not present to respond or defend themselves, but now they have.”
Morgan confirmed that the Carters’ legal team reached out, asserting that the allegations were baseless. Consequently, he agreed to cut those claims from the original interview, stating:
“Their lawyers contacted us to say that those claims were totally false and have no basis in fact, and we've therefore complied with a legal request to cut them from the original interview. Editing interviews is not something we do lightly at a show called Uncensored but like the proverbial cries of fire in a crowded theater, there are legal limits on us too, and we apologize to Jay-Z and Beyoncé.”
