In a recent interview with HOT 97, 50 opened up about his unique approach to crafting hits, sharing a rare look into his songwriting methods.

During the interview, 50 explained how he can draw inspiration from others' music to create fresh hits with new sounds. He remarked, revealing a peek into his creative formula.

“I would be able to look at someone else’s record and be able to make my version of the record when the right production came around. And it would be a hit again.”

To illustrate, 50 reflected on the similarities between Nelly’s 2002 anthem “Hot in Herre” and Banks’ 2004 single “On Fire.”

In addition to songwriting insights, 50 offered some serious advice for fellow rapper Lil Durk, who has been dealing with legal challenges. 

Reflecting on his own past experiences, 50 advised Durk to stay cautious and evaluate his circle amid the allegations surrounding him, including a recent murder-for-hire charge.
