6ix9ine Denies Staging Gym Attack, Says It Was Tough To Watch – WhatsOnRap

Last month, 6ix9ine was the subject of an attack at a LA Fitness in Florida. He’s finally spoken up about the event.

“For me, it was tough to watch because it was so unexpected,” the rapper told NBC Miami. “It’s cowardly. When I look at it, I just see hate, right? Imagine being someone who doesn’t know someone from a hole in the wall. I’ll give you an example: today is the first day that I meet you, I don’t know you from anywhere, I could have heard something about you that I may have an opinion on, but I don’t know you to hate you.”

He continued, “Does that give me the right to attack you? To ambush you? I think it was cowardly. I think it was opportunistic, but again I’m not mad because I know in the streets there are no rules. I’m at a loss for words because they saw an opportunity and they took it.”

He stated that the attack was not pre-planned. “I can capitalize off of anything, I’m that talented. I don’t need to get beat up to sell a record.”

The rapper’s remarks follow a post he made on Instagram last week in which he revealed that he has been without security for some time.

“For 2 years I been walking around with no security,” he posted, with a video of the assault. “Not saying I promote that but now you see I really never hid from anything. … You know how many of you people seen me in real life by myself in gas stations, supermarkets, restaurants, etc.”

Rafael Medina Jr., 43, Octavious Medina, 23, and Anthony Maldonado, 25, were eventually arrested for the 6ix9ine attack. They’re suspected of taking Tekashi’s $3,000 Balenciaga shoes, an iPhone, and the $1,200 key fob to his Lamborghini, in besides the assault.
