Kanye West Trends After North TikTok Dresses Up as Ice Spice – WhatsOnRap

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s nine-year-old daughter North West dressed up as Ice Spice in a recent TikTok video has generated a heated discussion about how the youngster is being parented.

Regardless of where one stands on the subject, a Kanye West clip has been spreading on Twitter, which many are wrongly labeling as a direct reaction to North’s Ice Spice clip.

Kanye has previously slammed his ex-wife Kim Kardashian for allowing their daughter to make TikTok videos. He said North was on the social media platform against his will.

“I’m not allowing my daughter to be used by TikTok, to be used by Disney,” he said in 2022. “I have a say-so.”

While West’s TikTok rant is related to the problematic video, it’s also a year-old (and since-deleted) Instagram post released in the aftermath of another of his daughter’s TikToks in which she was coated in makeup and sang along to Machine Gun Kelly and Willow Smith’s “Emo Girl.”

North’s Ice Spice TikTok has been polarizing, with some stating that it’s not acceptable for North to be ‘cosplaying’ as an artist rapping about mature subject matter, while others don’t see the issue because youngsters listening to music with improper topics isn’t exactly a new problem. Kanye West has yet to comment on his daughter’s most recent contentious video.

In reaction to Kanye’s outrage, Kardashian defended North’s TikTok usage. In an interview with Gwyneth Paltrow, the reality TV star elaborated on how she handles North’s use of social media.

“I have made a rule with their dad about it, you know, he’s not happy about that, I respect that,” Kardashian said. “It can only be on my own phone. It’s not something where she can scroll and look at things.”
