MOZZY TURNS HIMSELF IN TO BEGIN PRISON SENTENCE ON A FEDERAL GUN CHARGE
On Thursday, Sacramento rapper Mozzy reportedly surrendered to the United States Penitentiary (USP) Atwater (July 28). A spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed to The Sacramento Update that Mozzy (real name Timothy Patterson) will serve one year in prison for a federal gun charge.
“We can confirm Timothy Cornell Patterson entered Bureau of Prisons custody on July 28, 2022, at the United States Penitentiary (USP) Atwater,” Randilee Giamusso said. “His expected release date is July 23, 2023.”
Mozzy has been arrested for the first time on January 21 during a traffic stop in Culver City, California.
When they smelled “burnt marijuana,” they searched the car and found a Glock 26, 16 rounds of 9mm ammunition, and a “personal use” amount of marijuana. He was arrested and released after posting bail of $35,000 dollars.
Mozzy’s 7th studio album, Survivor’s Guilt, will be released in less than a week. The 15-track project, released by Yo Gotti’s CMG, featured guest verses from Roddy Ricch and Shordie Shortie, as well as fellow CMG labelmates EST Gee, Blac Youngsta, and Moneybagg Yo.
