Drake Disses DeMar DeRozan in Leaked “Iceman” Track Snippet

Drake Name-Drops DeMar DeRozan in In Leaked Audio
Drake has stirred up more drama in the rap world, but this time, it’s not Kendrick Lamar directly in his crosshairs.
A newly leaked snippet from his upcoming Iceman album includes a subtle but stinging diss aimed at NBA star DeMar DeRozan, rekindling tension that dates back to the height of the Kendrick vs. Drake rap war.
DeRozan Catches a Bar in Iceman
Drake’s leaked bars take aim at DeRozan’s tenure with the Toronto Raptors, a time that, while filled with highlights, never delivered an NBA championship.
And while the diss doesn’t mention DeRozan by name, the wordplay is sharp, clever, and clearly directed at the former Raptor.
“When you was part of the team we used to be planning our Mexico trips in the spring / We must’ve been dealing in the spur of the moment / Cause why (Kawhi) did we think you could get us a ring?”

New Drake IceMan Snippet! 👀 Is Drizzy taking S*ots at LeBron James & DeMar DeRozan? 😳

In true Drake fashion, the line plays with words and NBA history, referencing Kawhi Leonard, who won a ring with the Spurs before replacing DeRozan in Toronto and finally bringing the Raptors their long-awaited championship. The message? Kawhi delivered. DeMar didn’t.
What Caused the Fallout Between Drake and DeRozan?
Once close allies, Drake and DeRozan’s relationship started to unravel after DeRozan sided with Kendrick Lamar during the Drake vs.
Kendrick feud. DeRozan appeared in Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” video, one of the most viral diss tracks of the year, and was later seen dancing on stage with him at the Pop-Out concert in Los Angeles.
That moment was widely viewed as DeRozan publicly picking Kendrick’s side, something that didn’t sit well with Drake. Despite their shared Toronto roots, that loyalty shift hit different.
Drake vs. the NBA?
DeRozan wasn’t the only baller who showed up for Kendrick. LeBron James and Russell Westbrook were also at the Pop-Out concert, supporting their Compton brother.
Since then, Drake has sent out multiple subliminal jabs across unreleased songs and live appearances, targeting not just rappers but athletes, too.
He’s clearly still in his feelings about who stood with him, and who didn’t, when the entire hip-hop world was tuned into his lyrical battle with K.Dot.
Iceman Album: What We Know So Far
While no official release date has been announced, Iceman is already making waves.
According to Adin Ross, who reportedly heard the full album, none of the previewed tracks, including “What Did I Miss?”, “Dog House”, and “Which One,” made the final cut.
The project is said to feature Central Cee, Yeat, Julia Wolf, and more, and marks Drake’s first solo album since 2023’s For All The Dogs.
From the sound of it, Iceman is packed with emotional weight, slick wordplay, and coded disses for both hip-hop rivals and former friends.
Drake’s lyrical swipe at DeRozan might seem petty on the surface, but it’s layered with emotion, loyalty, and a sense of betrayal. It’s not just about basketball, it’s about choosing sides when the rap world was watching.
As Iceman continues to build buzz, one thing is clear: Drake hasn’t forgotten who stood with him and who didn’t.
