According to reports, a third suspect has been charged in the shooting that killed Memphis native Young Dolph last year.
A grand jury indicted Hernandez Govan, 43, on Thursday. He was charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and first-degree murder conspiracy. Just over a year after the deadly shot, Govan becomes the third person to be charged with murder.
“Mr. Govan has been indicted and is in custody for being involved in the Young Dolph murder. He played the role of the person who solicited the murder,” said Shelby County District Attorney Steve Mulroy. “What we are alleging in our indictment is that he asked for the murder to take place,” he said.
