What are the features on Cardi B’s “Am I The Drama?” album? Fans show disappointment, and Cardi fires back in a recent X Space

Cardi B Reveals “Am I The Drama?” Features, Responds to Fan Backlash, and Says Some A-Listers Underestimated Her

After years of anticipation, Cardi B is finally preparing to unleash her sophomore album, Am I The Drama?, dropping this Friday, September 19.

But while fans have been eagerly waiting for new music since her 2018 debut, Invasion of Privacy, not everyone is thrilled with what they’re seeing, and Cardi isn’t staying quiet about it.

Cardi B Unveils Album Features

Earlier this week, the Bronx-born rapper shared the official feature list for Am I The Drama? via social media.

The lineup includes some of the biggest names in R&B and pop, including Kehlani, Lizzo, Megan Thee Stallion, Selena Gomez, Summer Walker, Tyla, and Cash Cobain.

Perhaps the most surprising name on the list is Janet Jackson, hinting at a potentially iconic collaboration that blends generations of music royalty.

While Cardi revealed the artists involved, she has yet to confirm all of the producers behind the project, though speculation is already swirling in hip-hop circles.

Fan Reactions Turn Heated

Despite the big names, some fans didn’t hold back their disappointment. The backlash over the feature choices quickly spread across platforms like Twitter (X), with listeners questioning the absence of certain rappers and expecting more high-profile collaborations within the hip-hop community. Cardi took to a live X Space to defend her decisions and herself.

“A lot of y’all just be doing too much and it’s just like calm the f*ck down. like it’s already enough. it’s already f*king enough. For real calm the f*ck down. If y’all wanted these artists on the f*king album, well, maybe you y’all should have called them because I did and they underestimated it.”

She didn’t stop there, hinting that some A-list artists turned her down, doubting the project’s potential.

But rather than dwell on it, Cardi seems ready to prove the doubters wrong, just like she did the first time around.

“If y’all wanted them so bad, y’all should have called them because I call them and everything. I can’t control people and everything. I let people underestimate me. Let them underestimate me the next round .It is just like invasion of privacy invasion it was the same way This round is the same sh*t.”

A Long-Awaited Return

Am I The Drama? marks Cardi B’s first full-length release in over seven years. Her debut, Invasion of Privacy, not only won a Grammy but shifted the landscape for female rappers in the mainstream.

Fans are expecting her to bring the same raw energy, humor, and unfiltered storytelling to this next chapter.
