Lil Wayne, Birdman, & Future Among Potential Witnesses In Young Thug, YSL Trial – WhatsOnRap

Currently begins the process of the jury selection procedure in the YSL RICO case. According to WSB-Michael TV’s Seidan, the State has produced a list of prospective witnesses who might testify against Young Thug, which includes a few well-known celebrities.

According to reports, the state has a list of 372 possible witnesses who might testify against Thug. Many of them have law enforcement experience, either as current or past cops. There are 157 people on the state’s witness list who are associated to the Atlanta police force. Another 62 identities are from various law enforcement agencies. Then there are 125 lay witnesses, including major hip-hop personalities.

According to Seidan, authorities may call Lil Wayne, whose beef with Young Thug is well-documented, Birdman, YFN Lucci, Alexis “Dolly” Grier (Thug’s sister), and Rich Homie Quan as “notable witnesses” to testify against the Slime Language rapper during the YSL trial.

Seiden also received a list of witnesses for Miles Farley, one of Thug’s co-defendants. T.I., Future, and Trippie Redd are allegedly prospective witnesses for Farley’s defense. The state’s witness list was revealed a day after Thug’s defense team filed their own.

Killer Mike, Lyor Cohen, and Thug’s fiancée Jerrika Karlae are among the 25 people named as witnesses for the rapper. In addition, his team may call on current city council members and educators to speak on his favor.

Since the jury selection process is conducted, the number of co-defendants in the case has been reduced from the initial 28. Fourteen of those charged will stand trial next week, while six others will face separate proceedings. However, eight people have already agreed to plea bargains. Prosecutors just freed Gunna and Unfoonk from prison. They may be required to testify as part of their plea bargains. However, Gunna’s counsel stated that if he were to testify, he would plead the fifth.
