Metro Boomin Blasts 21 Savage Over Alleged ‘Lie’ in Shannon Sharpe Interview: “Lookin’ For A Lie To Tell” | WhatsOnRap

Metro Boomin Roasts 21 Savage for 5th Grade Spelling Bee Tale

In a recent episode of Shannon Sharpe’s podcast, rapper 21 Savage found himself under the playful examination of fellow artist Metro Boomin. Taking to Instagram Stories on Wednesday (January 24), Metro shared a candid commentary while watching 21 Savager’s interview.

Giving a shoutout to Sharpe at the start, Metro couldn’t resist poking fun at those who might feel overly confident sharing stories on the podcast couch. He humorously remarked:

Salute Uncle Shay Shay on the podcast, but n-ggas sit on his couch and just feel like they can say anything. Look at this n-gga just looking for a lie to tell.

The playful banter continued as Metro played a snippet of the interview where 21 Savage claimed to have won a fifth-grade spelling bee by accurately spelling the challenging word “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” Unconvinced, Metro quipped:

This n-gga saying he won a spelling bee in fifth grade spelling supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.

Adding a touch of humor, Metro wrote on the video, “You probably read 3000 books a year too huh @21savage,” referencing a recent claim by Katt Williams during his appearance on Sharpe’s podcast.

The lighthearted mocking continued with Metro sharing pictures of 21 Savage and Williams enjoying a drink during the interview, jokingly suggesting that “Unc got something in that cognac.”

The podcast also revealed a surprising revelation from 21 Savage about his American Dream biopic, initially believed to be in the works. The rapper admitted, “That was a parody. I feel like it could be [a real movie] one day. They’ll hate on it now, though, ’cause they going to be like, ‘What the fuck 21 Savage deserve a story for? What he did?'”

It turns out the anticipated biopic was actually a music video for 21’s song “all of me,” featuring Donald Glover and Caleb McLaughlin portraying the rapper at different ages. Notably, Metro Boomin made a cameo appearance in the visual spectacle.

In the world of hip-hop banter and podcast revelations, Metro Boomin and 21 Savage continue to entertain fans with their playful interactions, adding a touch of humor to the culture they both contribute to.
